You can view these by clicking the radio button in the bottom left corner of your screen. These are simple tasks you should perform daily to open all 5 chests and get a bonus decoration chest at the end. These can provide Drone Parts which are a rare resource that are otherwise difficult or expensive to come by.
This can be found in the Events button top right as the first tab. You get 3 chests every 4 hours and 3 bonus chests daily. You should try to open as many of them as you can every day. These chests contain valuable Skill Medals which are a rare resource for increasing the power of your heroes.
This is the easiest one especially once your HQ is 20 or above. You simply chose a hero and click upgrade. At hero level 100 it takes one upgrade to get all 3 chests.
Use your construction speed ups first to gain as many points as you can. Only complete constructions (open presents) if you run low on speed ups as you want to save completions for VS days 2 and 5. Try not to use universal speed ups unless you are close to getting the last chest.
You get points for starting and using speed ups but not for completing training. You can complete training before, during, or after.
You should have tiered barracks to maximize points. For example, at HQ 27, have 1 barracks at level 19 that train level 6 troops, 1 barracks level 23 to train level 7 troops, 1 barracks at level 26 to train level 8 troops, and 1 barracks at level 27 to train level 9 troops (I will use these levels for the strategy below).
You will easily get all the AR chests so you can save around 500 level 5 troops each AR for VS day 5. I usually have around 2000 extra un-leveled troops by VS day 5.
Once you have T10, you will need to level your barracks to 23, 26, 29, and 30.
Use research speed ups and complete tech research until you have all 3 chests. Planning ahead by checking when this Arms Race will come up and having your research end close to this time helps. Try not to use universal speed ups unless you are close to getting the last chest.
Only use Drone Battle Data and Drone Parts when this Arms Race overlaps with VS. Otherwise, run 15 rallies to burn 300 stamina to get your chests. Save your Drone Battle Data and Drone Parts for VS Day 1.
This is a week long event beginning at midnight server time Monday and lasts till midnight server time Saturday. Each day has a series of tasks which will earn you points which in turn allow you to open chests. MVP, winning VS daily, and winning VS for the week earns additional rewards. Passively, you also earn a reward for losing though not as good.
Saving resources to use on the designated day will allow you to earn more points and thereby open more chests. Opening chests will grant you Valor Badges among other things. You spend Valor Badges in the Tech Center under the VS Alliance Duel tree and later in other Tech Center Trees. The Alliance Duel tree will increase the rate you earn points. Later you get a Special Forces tree which will increase your Hero and Troop power and defenses.

Below is an image that will help you plan your resource saving/spending.

Below is an image showing the prerequisites for each HQ level. Your primary focus for construction should always be to upgrading your HQ and the prerequisites for upgrading your HQ. I recommend purchasing the second and third construction queues if you plan to play this game long term. They will greatly speed up your leveling process.
With 3 construction queues, you can level up your Tech center plus the current and next prerequisite for your HQ. For instance, when you reach HQ level 24, you can start the Tech center to 24, the Tank center to 24, and the Hospital to 24. Use speed ups during Arms Race and VS on your 2 current prerequisites but not the next one, i.e., use speed ups on Tech and Tank centers to 24 but not the Hospital 24 as you got time to level that.
Once you complete your prerequisites for HQ 25, then you can start construction on the HQ 25 and continue construction of the Hospital to 24 in preparation of reaching HQ 25. The third construction can then go to a other things until the HQ construction completes.
Beyond HQ construction, you need your gear factory at 20 so you may upgrade your gold hero gear beyond level 40.
Your iron, coin, and food vaults should only be leveled for VS and Arms Race points.
Your training centers, component factory, smelters, material workshops, iron mines, farms, and gold mines should be leveled to 20-25. Beyond that level them for AR and VS points. Once you are HQ 30, you will want to level your gold mines to 30 for maximum gold production for T10.
First hospital needs to be leveled to 25 but the other 2 can stop at 15-20. You can increase hospital capacity better with Tech Research.
Squad pads and tavern should be leveled 15-20.
Builder’s hut is debatable but 25 is reasonable.
First tech center, tank center, and one drill grounds need to keep up with your HQ. Second tech center and other drill grounds should be 20. Aircraft and Missile centers should be leveled up when you have openings available as they strongly increase your power depending upon your squad make-up.
Alliance center needs to be leveled up to 23.
Barracks are the most complicated (See Arms Race section). The first one should be leveled up with your base for maximum level troops (for example, 27 for HQ 27). A second barracks at one troop level below maximum (continuing the same example, 26 for HQ 27). The third barracks should stop two levels below maximum troop level (23 for HQ 27). The fourth barracks should stop three levels below maximum troop level (19 for HQ 27).
When I say “First” I mean the structure with the highest level survivors. When you quick deploy, it will assign the gold and purple level survivors to the “First” one, the purple and blue to the second one, etc.
Your alert tower and recon planes only take a few seconds to level and should be kept at maximum.
As you level past HQ 20 your rss requirements skyrocket so its important to conserve them to focus on leveling your HQ.
Exceptions to the recommendations above would be to level things up for Arms Race and VS points.

Only craft gold UR gear. Also, only upgrade gold UR gear.
Do not waste resources on purple, blue, or green gear for crafting or upgrading.
You will need to upgrade your Gear Factory to level 20 to add stars to your level 40 gold gear.
In your gear factory, Dismantle all excess purple, blue, and green gear then Merge all the materials into Dielectric Ceramic. When you get 750 Ceramics craft a piece of gold gear until all 3 squads have level 0 gold gear equipped.
I copied the image below from another site. The game provides recommendations to help you level up your gear. Neither is perfect but both are good guidelines.
Make sure to start getting Blueprints from the Honor Store as soon as you can. Also, the Glittering Market comes up once a month and is a good source for Mythic Blueprints. Also save your Ammo during the Bullseye event until you have 700 ammo then use them all to get the Mythic Blueprints.

First and foremost it is your HQ. Leveling up your HQ to 30 should be your number one priority. You should not delay leveling your HQ for more than a few days for VS points on days 2 and 5. Increasing HQ level increases not only your power but also the contents of your EXP chests and your resource chests for food/iron/coin. Get your HQ to 30 as quickly as possible and then work on getting everything else caught up. At HQ 27 you get access to higher level secret tasks which grant greater rewards and MEGA. At HQ 30 you get access to even greater rewards and can participate in higher level activities.
Second is getting your troops to T10. Get to the bottom of your Special Forces tree as fast as you can but don’t forget to level up your Tech Center and Barracks to 30. Leveling up your Gold Mines to 30 helps a little with this. Also, Engineering skills “Rapid Production” and “Instant Gathering” are helpful ones to max out.
Third is your hero levels but do not delay leveling your HQ for that. Hero levels will catch up quicker when your HQ is 30 as your EXP chests will automatically grant you more EXP. Focus on your squad #1. Get them to 150 one at a time, don’t spread it out.
With the hero stars focus on getting one hero to 3 stars before moving to the next one. For instance, get Kimberly to 3 stars then get Murphy to 3 stars and so forth. Then get squad 1 to 4 stars one at a time and then 5 stars. Once squad 1 is all 5 stars move on to squads 2 and 3. Do not worry about the wall of honor until all 3 squads have 5 star heroes.
Hero skills are the hardest thing to level and here your can start spreading out the skill medals a bit. Level up skill #2 first on your heroes (numbered top left to right then bottom left to right so for Kimberly #2 is “Barrage Strike”). Start with your attack heroes and then your defensives. For tank squad that would be Kimberly > Stetmann > Marshall > Williams/Murphy. If tank is your squad 1 then Marshall skill #3 Rapid start is your next priority. Beyond that, read the skill and use your best judgement or ask in alliance chat. Your squads power will rise rapidly as you max out the skills.
Tech trees will also increase your squad power as well as speed up your ability to level up your HQ. While leveling up your HQ it helps to max out the Development tree and 90% of your Economy tree (you can ignore the last 3 in the economy tree.
It is important to level up your Tank/Aircraft/Missile centers to 30 even though they take a lot of time and resources.
Honorable Campaigns will become available at HQ 16. You access it by clicking the orange badge icon on the Alert Tower. It becomes available 3 times a week at reset and will end after 48 hours.
There are 3 campaigns labeled Tank, Aircraft, and Missile. Aircraft campaigns become available after you complete level 5 Tank and Missile campaigns become available after your complete level 10 Tank.
Each level consists of 20 stages and you can only progress to the next level after completing all 20 stages. You can start a new level or start a level you have already completed. Once you start a level, you cannot change it. Also, if you start a lower level you that have already completed, even if you complete it again, you cannot progress. You can do 2 new levels or repeat only 1 lower level that you already completed per campaign reset.
For example, if in Tank campaign, you are at level 15 and start that but cannot complete it, then you are stuck there until the campaign next resets. If you complete it, then you get to do level 16 too, but that is all and you will have to wait till the campaign resets to do more Tank levels. If you find you cannot complete level 15, then you have the option to do a lower level like 14. Once again, if you cannot complete it, then you are stuck. If you do complete level 14, however, you do not get an option to complete another Tank level. Aircraft and Missile levels are each counted separately so you can still do Aircraft levels and then Missile levels following the same rules.
Each campaign, Tank, Aircraft, and Missile, is geared for that hero type. So when you do Tank, you should try to only use Tank Heroes and so forth. However, there is no restriction to do so and you may use any hero in any campaign such as Kimberly in Aircraft. Once you start a level with a certain hero, however, that hero is locked to that campaign. For example, if you use Kimberly in a Tank level, you may not use her again in Aircraft or Missile campaigns.
You get rewards for each level you complete including a chance to level up your hero one level for free up to level 100. It is random, sometimes I’ll do 20 levels and gain 3 hero levels and sometimes I’ll gain none. You gain the most rewards for completing all 20 stages so if you know you cannot complete a certain stage, it is better to do a lower level.
You should use your strongest heroes for each category even if that means mixing in some tank heroes with your squad. I find it is best to simply copy my 3 squads which are squad 1 Tank, squad 2 Aircraft, and squad 3 Missile. I use Violet in my Missile squad because she is higher level and has more stars than Elsa.
While you cannot swap heroes once they are locked to a category, you can swap gear and drone chips. For example, when my Missile team got stuck at stage 15, I moved all my UR gear to that team and also swapped the chips in my drone from Tank to Missile (the chip swapping eventually won’t be necessary once you level up your Drone’s Combat Boost). I was then able to complete all 20 stages.
If you are going to run a lower campaign level anyway, then you can swap in a lower level hero to level it up for free. For instance, if I can’t complete level 15 Missile, then I can do level 11 and swap in Elsa for Violet to give Elsa a chance to level up for free.
If you are having problems completing a stage then War Fever can help. During Season 2 you can also buff yourself by having your temperature increased.
Desert Storm (DS) is a fun weekly event. You can battle and win Alliance and Honor Points along with some of the best rewards in the game. And as a bonus, you do not lose any troops while fighting but you can spend diamonds and Healing speed-ups to heal troops.
1) Only Level 15+ can participate.
2) Go to Events > Desert Storm Battlefield tab.
3) Select a Team and click the “Request to battle” button
4) Each Team can have 20 participants and 10 substitutes, so only register if you know you can be there.
The opponents are selected by the game on Thursday
Please show up on time! Another player couldn’t participate because of limited signups, so not showing up is rude.
Once you enter the battlefield, leaving ends DS for you. If you are 5+ mins late, substitutes can come in and you have to wait if it is full. You can access your base while in DS.
Stage 1
Capture Oil Refineries, Science Centers, Info Centers, and Field Hospitals to earn Battlefield Points.
Stage 2 (10 mins after start)
Capture the Nuclear Silo, Arsenal, and Mercenary Factory to gain Battlefield Points.
Stage 3 (20 mins after start)
Oil Wells will appear on the map, harvest them to get Battlefield Points.
Game Mechanics:
1) You can teleport every 2 mins. This gets reduced to 1 min if holding the Science Hub.
2) Field Hospitals allow you to recover troops. Collect healed troops using the house+ icon. Spending Diamonds and Healing speed-ups are not recommended unless. If you have no more troops, please exit the battlefield so others can join.
3) Only one hit & return per march, no multiple hits or change of orders, only recall. You must return to base to issue another order. You can teleport even if your Squads are outside the base.
4) You can attack/defend from Safe Zone.
Troops:
1) To preserve troops for the long fight master Wall management, smart deployment, and scouting.
2) Keep your Squads off the Wall if a stronger player is attacking.
3) If a weaker player is attacking, hold your Squad until their squad hits you, then send your squads to attack while their squad is outside their base.
4) Attack players when you see them sending their squads out.
5) Take empty buildings with your weakest squad, consider making it 1 low level hero even.
6) Pull your Squads out of a building if holding for less than 1 min and another player is attacking. Attack their base with all your squads, remember they have to recall their troops to defend.
7) Hit the player bases defending a building instead of attacking it directly, once a player is ashed, all their defenders are also gone.
8) Use your scouts to check if the enemy has engaged their Wall defenses, be prepared to recall when marching against a stronger player.
Stage 1 Priorities:
1) Capture empty buildings. Oil Refineries have best initial capture points and yields.
2) Hold a Science Hub for 1 min teleports.
3) Focus on holding Hospitals which can heal 15 units of any level every 10 secs.
Stage 2 Priorities:
1) Big hitters will be focusing on Arsenal, Mercenary Factory, and Nuclear Silo.
2) Assist them by continuing to fight for Stage 1 priorities.
Stage 3 Priorities:
1) Continue Stage 1 priorities.
2) Gather in Oil Wells for points.
We all know and hate the Stamina bar. It is a resource that you have to ration and use wisely like any other.
Your stamina will gradually restore at a rate of 1 stamina every 5 minutes and if you click the bar under your avatar in the top left corner it will bring up the window that will allow you add more stamina. It will also highlight in green a timer showing how long it will take to regenerate to 120 stamina. It takes 10 hours to regenerate from 0 to 120.
While you can buy stamina to exceed 120 using gems and stamina items, you can only regenerate up to 120. I don’t know if there is a cap to how high your stamina can actually go, I never tested it.
The best way to spend stamina is doing rallies. This gets you maximum rewards and also rewards everyone else in the rally. Plus rallies earn the entire alliance gifts. In the Alliance Gifts tab there will be a list of rallies for which each member will be awarded a gift based upon the Alliance’s Gift level. Each click by a member will add 10 points to the progress bar. While that doesn’t sound like much, if all 100 members click claim, then that adds 1000 points. Claiming the gift will award you, at, for instance, gift level 21: 21 K food/iron/coin or 5 Gems or 10 VIP points. More rallies means more rewards to claim.
Every night before you log out, you should do rallies to clear out most if not all your stamina. That way, when you log back in the next day you will be at or close to your max of 120 and you can start all over spending stamina.
The best time to spend Stamina is during Arms Race Drone Boost. Do not waste Drone Battle Points or Drone Parts for that, save them for VS Day 1. It takes 15 rallies to get all 3 chests in the Arms Race. With all 3 squads, that can be done in a little over 5 minutes. If you start out with 100+ stamina, then first buy more using gems: spending 300 then 500 to get all 300 stamina needed for the 3 chests. Save your Stamina items for events like Zombie Invasion or Wars.
The image below is self explanatory.
I agree, don’t use the Diamond store.
In the VIP store, Drone parts are too expensive and only buy if you need a few to level up. The same with the resource chests. Otherwise I agree with the guide.
In the Alliance store, I’d recommend clearing out the top 2 rows (pick 8, 12, or 24 hour shield) and all the speed ups as your points allow. You want to level up Violet as she will become UR in Season 2.
In the Honor store ONLY get the blueprints. If you participate capitol war and warzone duel you can easily get blueprints.
In the Campaign store, once you can clear level 50, you can easily empty it out except for the Dielectric Ceramics and Battle Data 10k. Those 2 only buy on an as needed basis.

This is not an endorsement to spend real cash on this game. I am not recommending or saying you are obligated in any way to spend real money on this game. It is perfectly acceptable to be free-to-play.
If, however, you chose to spend money, I wanted to share some tips on the best places to do so.
They added the Gold Brick Mall to the game a little while ago and it gives an additional 5% bonus to your purchases. You buy gold bricks then you can use those to make in game purchases. Adds a level of additional value to your spending.
1) Kimberly for $1 if you haven’t done so already. Even though you already get Kimberly for free you can still get 10 shards for Kimberly for $1 which is a good deal.
2) Second build queue for $2 dollars. While you can use gems for a second build, spending $2 will permanently free up those gems for other uses like trade contracts, secret orders, and the VIP store
This is a reasonable place to stop. $3 for this game is a bargain.
3) Third build queue for $10 is huge for those wanting to level their power faster as it allows you to level your HQ plus the next 2 requirements for the base or just next one plus something else like rss or additional drill grounds and hospitals.
Quality of gaming life spending
4) Fourth build queue and second Tech Center just make life easier for getting VS points and advancing your power and economy. For $20 each they are not a bargain.
Mall purchases
Top right icon with the shopping cart and your gem count. In the mall the only place I’d recommend spending is the Daily Sale for the Bundle for $5 (exception is for ammo discussed below).
Hot Deals
1) During the Bulls Eye event Ammo can be bought directly but a great way to get 6 extra ammo is to go to the mall and spend $1 a day in the Daily Sale rather than the bundle for a total of 30 ammo over 5 days for $5. You need save up ~700 ammo before using them so you can get the 10 Mythic Blueprints.
2) Glittering Market is amazing for having items that can greatly increase your power from base skins to decorations to blueprints and more. You can be patient and save up glittering coins over months or purchase coins.
3) Custom weekly pass is actually a good deal for what you can get. Get drone parts plus whatever you happen to need that week.
Seasonal
During every season you get the option to purchase Seasonal passes and Weekly passes. I do recommend the Seasonal pass. It is a good deal and will allow you power up more quickly throughout the season. The weekly pass is optional expense for those that want to help take down the Stronghold bosses sooner.
Holidays
Large and small spending opportunities during these events. If you are lucky you can even get a base skin for cheap.
Battle Pass
Not a big fan of these myself. While they do grant you items that will increase your power rapidly, most are things you will earn over time for free anyway.
Again, this is not an endorsement to spend real cash on this game. I am not recommending or saying you are obligated in any way to spend real money on this game. It is perfectly acceptable to be free-to-play.
You can purchase 2 survivors for your HQ, Shirley and Taylor.
Shirley is not a good value as she increases your march size and hero attack which will increase the power of all your squads by a small amount. She starts at $10 and gets expensive very quickly.
Taylor is a better buy as she will grant you more and higher level treasure chests from your radar missions. At $5 you can get her at 0 stars and she will grant you 5 Rare Explorer Chests. Leveling her gets expensive very quickly but if you are willing to spend $150 you can get her to 4 stars which will upgrade you to 25 Deluxe Adventurer Chests. It will cost you another $100 to get her to 5 stars which I don’t really recommend as that only grants you an additional 5 Deluxe Adventurer Chests.
You can get Taylor by going to your VIP window (VIP button top left below your avatar while viewing your base). If you only want her at 0 stars you can scroll back to VIP 1 and purchase her package for $5.
If you want to spend the $150 then you can scroll back to VIP 6 and purchase her package for $50 and then scroll to VIP 7 and purchase a second package for $100 which will grant you 340 shards and allow you to level her up to 4 stars. You can also purchase packages in VIP 2-6 if you want to spend in smaller increments over a longer period of time at $10+$20+$20+$50+$50 which also equals $150 and grants you 345 shards. You only need 325 shards to get her to 4 stars and the extra shards don’t do anything for you.

The President sets the duration of the buffs which is currently at the 5 minute minimum.
These are percentage increases in speed not decreases in time. In other words 100% does not reduce your time to zero.
You can click on the statistics for your base (second blue button when you click on your HQ while inside your base) to see how much construction decreases you have from Tech, VIP, Alliance Tech, Cities, etc.
If it takes say 10 days to build something and you have 50% construction buffs plus you get the 50% secretary buff, that increases your speed of construction to 200% and will reduce your time to 5 days. Since it is a percentage, the bonus increases for longer constructions. For a 1 day construction, you only drop to 0.5 days which is 12 hours faster. For a 10 day construction, it would be 5 days faster. For a 30 day construction, 15 days faster.
The above applies to all the buffs. With the exception of Secretary of Interior (discussed below), you must have the buffs BEFORE you start healing, training, construction, or research. It is not retroactive.
Vice President
Increase construction and research speed by 20% and training speed by 10%. When you have this do NOT mess with any of the settings which might break the queue for the secretary positions.
Secretary of Strategy
Increase hospital capacity and unit healing speed by 20% but does not reduce resource cost.
Secretary of Defense
Increase unit training cap and speed by 20% but does not reduce resource cost. Significantly reduces the number of speed ups to complete training. Very useful during AR Unit Progression.
Secretary of Development
Increase construction speed by 50% and research speed by 20%. Good to get during AR build and also not bad during AR tech if the Secretary of Science queue is full.
Secretary of Science
Increase research speed by 50% and construction speed by 20%. Good to get during AR Tech and also not bad during AR build if the Secretary of Development queue is full.
Secretary of Interior
Increase food/iron/coin output by 100% for resources produced in base and resources you gather from tiles
. You want this BEFORE you COLLECT your resources and before using your engineering skills Rapid Production and Instant Gathering.
To maximize Secretary of Interior:
1) let your farms and mines collect overnight
2) let your engineer skills reset
3) send out your squads to gather
4) get the Secretary of Interior
5) collect all your resources in your base
6) hit engineering skills Rapid Production and Instant Gathering
